Hi, these very words “Talk to God” saved, changed, and set me and my life free. What was once a dark, abandoned, despair-filled time of my life turned into the absolute best thing that ever happened to me! From tears to joy, sadness to hope, brokenness to wholeness, and emptiness to contentment. He did it all. If you haven’t taken a look at my story, I recommend reading that and coming back here afterward. I used to be a very independent, “I got this”, I don’t need, want, and will refuse help type of person. It took lots of rejection, pain, and ultimate disappointment for me to eventually be at that place in my heart towards others, especially those who genuinely loved me. I remember one individual particularly that is a friend from back before I had known God. He reminded me of myself in such a way it would almost annoy me. Yet, my heart adored Him and does to this day. I had met him since we worked together , and the work we did was very intense labor heavy most the time, I wouldn’t call it light work every time or much. And no matter how much I didn’t and don’t want to admit it, I really needed help with somethings at times, He knew that and was very graceful, kind, and as nice as possible. Yet, I was so rude about it because I felt so incapable, weak, or pathetic about it. Truth is my ignorance resulted in not only one but two pretty rough outcomes physically that took a bad toll on me to this day I am conscious to be careful about what I do. The point of that is, we weren’t created to use just our hands and disregard the other ones that are brought into our life. His hands were more than a weight off my shoulders, but care, acknowledgement, and grace. He saw a coworker, but was to him a friend, likely, struggling, beyond a point of trying again and again after being rejected and treated poorly by me for no reason, unfortunately. He didn’t want me to be in a state of hurt, it was more than that, but knowing that he saw the outcome of me not receiving help and went so much out of his way to be a helping hand, i wouldn’t receive it though. time and time again! It was never a burden for him, shoved in my face, or brought up in a rude manner as if I was incapable, but that he didn’t want to watch or see me suffer. He really just wanted to help. I’d like to say that person has quite a heart deep down. Looking back now, I was able to ask for forgiveness and apologize deeply for how I’d treated him. I am very thankful that he was more than kind about my apology. To this day, I refer back to him and his wonderful sincerity toward me. Fun fact he also introduced me to some pretty good tacos. What made it the best for me was that our team at the time had come together to eat at a table. I was always invited and never left out. The simplest gesture made such a place in my heart. Well, reflecting on this experience, story, and friendship. I’d like to say God is the kindest, most graceful, caring Father, Friend, and Supporter we could ever have. He notices when you need help. He sees you when you’re weak, struggling, and trying to do it yourself. He never asked you to; you have the best team ever. God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. What some may say and know as “The Holy Trinity”. Symbolizing God our Father as three different major roles. He is here to support, help, save, and protect us in every possible way. To pick us up when we fall, to wipe our tears, to lead us in the narrow way, and many, many, many more. When we try to carry something we don’t have the strength, capacity, or ability to do, it will surely leave us in a very defeated, impossible looking or feeling, destructive state. Now God, His hands are so big! And He has many ways of adding more and more hands to carry every single thing. We were not made to carry what only God has the capacity to hold. God will never ask you to clean up a mess you made, either. We as humans have such a hard time accepting anything that the world may deem us to be weak, incapable, or unworthy of doing. When the truth is, you weren’t made for it. You were made for spiritual morals, principles, and law. When you follow the Way, Truth, and Life (Jesus, the ultimate Brother, Christ if i may say ), then you only need to listen to those very things, walk in those ways, and trust His word. In Jesus Name! Child, God is trying to get your attention, to kindly take that weight from you off your shoulders. He is your helping hand. He will not for much longer continue to allow you to carry and live the way you are with yourself until He puts you in your place with understanding He loves you. Allow Him to lift that weight, take care of that, work this out, and complete that task. Even if it started as yours, it belongs to Him now. Rest in that very trustworthy truth. Unfortunately, at times we get to a breaking point before we allow that or selflessly realize it. We are so clouded with fear of judgment or of feeling unworthy that you have other things on your mind. God is bigger than the things you face that feel like a giant, brick wall, obstacle course, or the enemy. God and His being is entirely on your side. Remember that when you feel like life has put you in an impossible situation, the answer is just a mustard seed-sized amount of faith, hope, trust, and belief away. Now, open your mouth and cry, let it out, brother and sister. God is not done with you, or is He going to leave you anything close to the way He found you. That’s your rock, refuge, shield, defense, healer, biggest fan, and once again your supporter. You can’t live in a state of relying on the unreliable, such as you, friends, family, the world, work, satisfaction, perfection, and you again. These will always leave you hurting much more than the Lord ever intended for you to experience or go through, or continuing to try to live in them. Something we must go through to finally slow down, stop, sit down, breath and understand. The whole time, brother, you needed to proceed the way He tells us to.
Read this and see, pray, talk with Him, be thankful, and understand He is your help. The peace and wonder you will experience from this will only come from leaning on God and taking your mess, weight, and worry to Him. Brother, take some time and see how loving, kind, and caring your supporter (Father) is. He wants the best for you and nothing less, and you sitting there drained, tired, miserable, and hating everything isn’t that. It was never yours, but His. Everything you’re doing and where you are is because of Him. He is Sovereign to do something about your situation and circumstance.
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Child, may you chase Him with everything you have till your last breath. Amen.
